| It's
Your Car - Your Choice
•
What are your choices in choosing an auto body repair shop to restore
your car to pre-accident condition?
•
Is your insurance company directing you to use a specific auto body
repair shop?
•
Can you be assured that the replacement parts used are OEM parts
(original equipment manufacturer)?
We want you to know
that choosing an auto body repair shop is YOUR choice, not the insurance
company's decision. Some insurance companies may make recommendations
on repair shops based on their agreements and/or referral programs
with specific shops. Direct repair or referral programs are common,
and are frequently required by insurance companies to use non-original
or after-market parts. Consumers should be aware that they are entitled
to have their vehicle restored to pre-accident condition with respect
to safety, function, appearance, and value.
When selecting an
auto body repair shop, be sure to select a shop qualified to restore
your vehicle to pre-accident condition. The shop of your choice
should be willing to negotiate with the insurance company to insure
all needed repairs are included in your claim.
